g> Thanks, Irv.....I discovered the reqirement for an integer and changed it to g> 1. It now 'sleeps' for a second but no sound eminates.. Do you know how to g> simulate a 'bell' on windows? You can bell on windows by downloading PC Speaker Sounds Library. Get at www.rapideuphoria.com/contrib.htm
