Users who come from Europe (such as myself) cannot use the free grisoft
antivirus.
A very good free alternative is InoculateIt Personal Edition. It may be
downloaded from:
www.cai.com

InoculateIt Personal Edition is no long being offered to new=
users.
It seems they have discontinued development of the software.
The good news is they will still support previous owners of the
software.

Me, I'm old fashioned. I still use F-Prot. Free por personal use. You can
download it from ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/msdos/virus/ Latest
version is 3.09. Download fp-309.zip (April 2001) and also the fp-def.zip
update (end of June). Strict DOS, very safe & fast, can run from a floppy.
Send them an automail msg and they will tell you when a new version comes
up.

Maybe I am wrong, but I believe Inoculate It ceased to be free about a month
ago.

I wonder there's no free OpenSource AntiVirus even for Linux.
Or am I wrong ?
