I am having problems getting the ex.exe to accept keyboard input at the command shell under WinXP/SP2. Have set the environs as per directions. Once the ex.exe or ee runs however the keyboard has no affect in the window (ie no characters) shift lock and such functions. Have run this on my Win98 with no problem. Have not seen anyone else on the boards talking about this. Any ideas??? Paul C.

Have you tried simply clicking on the Window to make sure it's selected. I've never asked, but I should, "Why does the console window in Euphoria programs in WinXP not get focus sometimes?" -=ck "Programming in a state of EUPHORIA." http://www.cklester.com/euphoria/

Yeah I tried it. It seems that if I run...cmd.exe I get keyboard input but if I enter "ex"<CR> the prompt shows up asking what filename to load... but that's when the keyboard stops working. I am running the shell fullscreen so I do not think the loss of scope is this problem. Also further testing has shown that running "command.com" gets the same result at the command prompt. Paul C
