I don't normally get involved in these kinds of discussions. When I read crap like this I make an exception: "Perhaps the best thing that could happen to Euphoria now is for Derek, Judith, Bernie, et al to withdraw their libraries from circulation. Let Rob do everything his way and see how things work out." This is certainly intelligent. NOT! Give Robert a break! 2.5 is ALPHA! It has problems and nay-saying whiners aren't improving matters for the rest of us.

Even the simplest requests (like version(), or the file path/name include problem) go unheeded and ignored. If it were left up to Mr. Craig, Euphoria would most likely still be a DOS-only programming language. Almost all commercial (and most free) programming languages come with support for Windows, with IDE's, networking functions, and the other things needed by Windows programmers. Euphoria doesn't. If Rob wants to add those things, and is willing to support them, then he should do so, and charge an appropriate price. Maybe that would "improve matters for the rest of us". Whatever. The current plan, which consists mostly of going around in big, slow circles, isn't working very well. Anyway, I will accomodate you by doing something intelligent: I'll no longer be hanging around here, hoping something will happen. I should have gone years ago -there are other programming languages out there. Goodbye to all, and good luck. Irv
