If other people see it, they might have good suggestions or even contributions. Plus they may bug you more often about the next release, which may motivate you to work on it some more (if you can stop counting tokens for a few minutes). Matt Lewis

As soon as I have a first version, with the basic controls and functionality, releases will come fast. About the motivation: I'm very motivated to create Win4Eu. Not only because it will be useful for myself and other people, to make programming easier, but also for the experience, and to see if I can really realize my vision, to accomplish something huge. You are totally right about motivation by pressure: after I released Kanarie, there wasn't a lot of response. So I neglected the Kanarie- project. Then Juergen started using it, and he asked me some questions. So I picked up on Kanarie, to solve his problems. He also gave me some suggestions. Without the positive pressure of Juergen, Kanarie wouldn't have grown into the great thing it is now. About 'if you can stop counting tokens for a few minutes': I quit the contest long time ago. I only sent 2 submissions, and then stopped, to spend all my time on Win4Eu (and Kanarie, when necessary). I also stopped active development of Win32Dib, EuControls and LayoutPanels, because I will integrate a lot of the functionality of those libraries into Win4Eu. -- Recycle your pets. tommy online: http://users.telenet.be/tommycarlier tommy.blog: http://tommycarlier.blogspot.com
