The results page has been updated. It also has a new format which I hope is acceptable. http://www.users.bigpond.com/ddparnell/rules.htm -- Derek Parnell Melbourne, Australia

Derek, I know you've done a lot of work on this contest already, but can I want to make a feature request for the results page. With regards to the "Style" files and the actual scored files, if a word count is incorrect can you post whether it was higher or lower than expected? I thought that my second submission was corrected, but apparently not. ------------------------------------ Too many freaks, not enough circuses. j.

Or, I don't know if you could provide the submitted program outputs with the expected outputs. ------------------------------------ Too many freaks, not enough circuses. j.

I'm just grousing, I'll probably figure it out. I think I need to rethink my code from scratch. ------------------------------------ Too many freaks, not enough circuses. j.

Not many, so I suspect that you have some issues with hyphens or quotes. Also, it crashed with a subscript error. It seems that your calculated hash value for "BUT-SUGGESTED" is zero. -- Derek Parnell Melbourne, Australia

The hash thing sounds like a pretty stupid error on my part and I'm surprised it didn't show up. I think I've realized the quote-dash error after re-reading the rules recently. But that helps a lot. So far the contest has been a lot of fun and I've learned a lot about hashes and sorting! ------------------------------------ Too many freaks, not enough circuses. j.
