How come you removed the global constant subEUDIR out of the e.ini
and hard coded it to look in a directory called \\editor\\ ??
When you try to change settings there is no directory and there is no
ini file so the editor does not change its settings. No ini files are
in the down load and the editor does not create the directory or a
ee.ini file.

If you don't have an \editor directory, my guess was that you didn't want
the editor to be littering your hard drive with .INI files.

In the previous version the editor looked in the directory where
my editor was located automatically now it forces me to place the
ini files in a directory called editor or I have to edit the ini.e
The only reason I was letting you know it could confuse someone who
upgrades.
There should be EUDIRED & EURDIRHLP enviornment variables.
Also there should be a note in the Docs to warn everyone about the
change

Thanks. I'll try to get it taken care of.
