The (somewhat disparaging) comments about lccwin32 are outdated, Rob.  
The current version works fine with e2c with or without the optimizer.

Please keep supporting it--I recommend it to euphoria/windows users.

Early November is when ecw/lcc started working for me.  That must have 
been the bug that was bugging my programs.

Private correspondence from Wolf at the time included--

Following your suggestion, I downloaded a newer version of LCC (compiled 
Nov. 7).  I've compiled half a dozen of my larger win32lib 'tuts' with 
this, and my (API only) bitmap crusher, and they all
seemed to work OK, leaving in the standard and formerly troublesome '-O' 
option."
