1. Contributions add comments ability

Rob: Is there any possibility of having a way of leaving comments against
peoples contributions? This would allow an easy way of seeing how many people
have taken note of a piece of code, and also to give feedback on said code.

I realise there would be the possibility of some level of 'stupid' use of the
feature, but I think the advantages would outweigh that. Currently the only way
people can comment is via this forum - or directly to the contributor, but then
others don't easily get to see what's been said without doing a search each time
they might want to download the code.

It wouldn't take much to do - a simple DB of a ref to the contrib, the comment
writers details (registered forum people only?), the date, the comment. An icon
next to each contrib that opens a new window with the list of comments - last
entry first.

What do others think about this?

3. Re: Contributions add comments ability

Hi there,

Sounds like a really good idea.
A persistant forum would allow people to evaluate a program
or piece of code and provide comments.

"It was really nice but xyz didnt work"
Then the author could update the program fixing xyz and comment:
"01/02/2005 fixed the problem with xyz"

Quite a few sites have this feature and anyone
visiting can read the evaluations for a product before
purchasing.

Take care,
Al

And, good luck with your Euphoria programming!
