Hi there, First off, i see the v2.5a finally made it to press I must say, it looks pretty good. I've downloaded the new version eusetup.exe for windows and would like to install but leave my old 2.4 version alone so i can still use that if i have problems with 2.5 . Any ideas for the simplest way? About 2.5 ... Wow...crash routine() ? FINALLY he he. Very nice. People asked about this for years and years. No 'trace()' statement limit ... wow, nice. I've been thinking of using Euphoria as the language of choice in an online course in EE im giving and having a trace statement limitation just wouldnt cut it. Is it going to stay this way? I think more people are apt to try it if it does. Also wow, the $ sign is used as string length...very nice too! Great changes! Take care, Al And, good luck with your Euphoria programming! My bumper sticker: "I brake for LED's"

Any ideas for the simplest way? I renamed my bin and include files bin24 and include24, so that I can swap versions by renaming a coupld of directories. Matt Lewis

Any ideas for the simplest way? I have on my machine: C:\EUPHORIA.10 .... C:\EUPHORIA.15 C:\EUPHORIA.20 .... C:\EUPHORIA.24 C:\EUPHORIA -- this is in action, 2.5 now. To use 2.4, I rename EUPHORIA as EUPHORIA.25, then EUPHORIA.24 as EUPHORIA. [snip] Regards, Igor Kachan kinz at peterlink.ru

In the current euphoria\bin directory I have: ex.exe -- 2.5 - dos32 ex_r.exe -- 2.3, Russian diagnostics, unlimited alphabet, dos32 ex_e.exe -- 2.3, English diagnostics, unlimited alphabet, dos32 exw.exe -- 2.5 - win32 exw_r.exe -- 2.3, Russian diagnostics, unlimited alphabet, win32 exw_e.exe -- 2.3, English diagnostics, unlimited alphabet, win32 ed.ex -- runs 2.5 ex.exe or exw.exe red.ex -- runs 2.3 ex_r.exe or ex_e.exe or exw_r.exe or exw_e.exe -- depending on current window. So, I can run 6 different versions - 2 euphoria, 2 ruphoria, 2 nuphoria - without renameing of directory, and 4 different 2.3 versions just from red.ex, which sits in 2.5 euphoria\bin. I do still use the 2.4 standard include files, as there is no big difference between it and the old one, in what it does. However, the 2.5 standard include files uses $.
