Is the fact that Topica goes down for maintenance about once a month a "real" issue for anyone? What's the probability that you have a seriously urgent question that needs to be answered within the 12-24 hours that Topica is down? Yes it's a pain when it is down but I can live with it. The old list was NEVER down and had NO ADS or POPUP garbage. There was no benifit to any user or any logical reason to change this list. Bernie

It seems that a lot of things appear on this list that have nothing to do with Euphoria programming. Bernie

Topica was spawned because of MTS. The moderation is mostly for abusive emails and is done automatically by RDS on every email that passes through topica. The limit of 50 results for searching the mailing archives is self imposed by RDS, for speed and bandwidth issues I guess. Combats people searching the entire archives for "the" or something silly. DALnet is way better. Heck, even ChatNet is better than EFnet.
