I use AnalogX Proxy at home (for HTML only). I have never had a problem
with it.

It also has support for Mail, FTP and few other protocols but I have
never used them.
It's worth a look.

Actually that was the first one I tried.... Some sites it works for, and
some not... sometimes an adress will work, and sometimes it gives you an
error... Maybe it's my computer?

What would do that?

I'm very confused....

Some web servers run on ports other than 80.
(like secure web servers or if configured to do so, any server).

There was a pretty long readme file that came with AnalogX.
If you read it fully it will explain how to configure it to allow
more ports to be used.

This might or might not be the problem...

Actually, what I've done for the moment, is run both AnalogX and Proksi(the
other one) at the same time....

The port for AnalogX is 6588, and the port for Proksi is 1111.
(for html anyway)
IF a website doesn't load with one port setting, I will change the entry in
"Internet Options/Connections/Lan Settings"
to the other. ie 6588 dont work, change to 1111. MOST sites will work on one
port if not the other... except for my university homepage, which is
annoying, becuase that's where the lectures put their course notes.

Aside from IE, I also use a program called Trillian, that connects to all
chat program servers and pretends to be their client program.... ie, I'm on
MSN, and ICQ, and AIM... through one program. (Plus I have no ads) I
recommend it to you all. www.trillian.cc
Now it will let you set up proxy settings.... and either of those ports will
work (or 1080 for socks4 on analogX), but I can't send/receive files, so
it's not just IE stuffing up.

Any ideas are appreciated.
