Is the fact that Topica goes down for maintenance about once a month
a "real" issue for anyone?

What's the probability that you have a seriously urgent question that
needs to be answered within the 12-24 hours that Topica is down?

Yes it's a pain when it is down but I can live with it.

When Euphoria was on the old list someone
talked Rob in to to changing to this crappy list for unkown
reasons. The old list was NEVER down and had NO ADS or
POPUP garbage. There was no benifit to any user or any
logical reason to change this list.

Hello!

I was there, just had the channel window minimized while coding. :((

I connect to irc.secsup.uu.net, and have gotten on repeatedly without
issue.

Might be in there again this afternoon.

So what happen to the moderation ? It seems that a lot of
things appear on this list that have nothing to do with
   Euphoria programming.

5. RE: Topica Alternative

Topica was spawned because of MTS.

The moderation is mostly for abusive emails and is done automatically by
RDS on every email that passes through topica.

The limit of 50 results for searching the mailing archives is self
imposed by RDS, for speed and bandwidth issues I guess. Combats people
searching the entire archives for "the" or something silly.

in short, _EFnet_ sucks. i never touch EFnet. i can never find a damn
server that will let me on. DALnet is way better. Heck, even ChatNet is
better than EFnet.

You'll find Sorcery Net is the best, but i'm prejudiced, i admit. Of the 375-ish
irc nets out there, SN is ranked 28th.
