1. TCP library for Linux?

Heya all, I'm back on the scene, as usual. However... I'm going to start writing a chat server for Linux. However, to start this, I'm going to need a TCP library for Linux. Does anyone know of such a library, before I go and reinvent the wheel? :) TIA!
