1. Bible in EDB Format

The KJV Bible is available as a EUPHORIA database at the EUPHORIA web site
(http://www.rapideuphoria.com). I'm using it primarily for my
soon-to-be-open web site, MyPrayerGroup.org
(http://www.cklester.com/mpg/home.esp). Check it out!

I included a simple Win32Lib viewer (developed with Judith's IDE- should we
call it JIDE? :) ) that might still have a bug or two if you try to get too
fancy with it. However, it shows how fast and simple the lookup of verses
is.

If anybody has any requests regarding the database or the viewer or anything
else, please let me know!

Damn, my church uses the NIV, so I can't use this version.

My app was going to display the verses for bible readings up on the wall, so
that people could follow along, or just read the pew bibles (which are all
NIV)...

Where did you get the source words from? Were there NIV words as well?

Howz about a linux/EuGTK version of the viewer. Don't
you run BSD on one of your machines?

Well done.

A more useful translation/version might be nice. The KVJ is so flawed, its
almost useless except for studying the history of the English language.

I do, but, unfortunately, haven't touched it in a while, and wouldn't
know where to start anyway. I'd probably use some text-based interface
for viewing. I'd need a day or two to figure out EuGTK.

I have made a library of functions that will work on any platform. I'll
tidy it up and release that as well... soon. :)

Ed, thanks for that. I found that web site last night and downloaded
both the WEB and ASV versions! They'll be in edb format soon. I
wonder if I should combine them all into one database (which would be huge), or
keep them separate. What do y'all think?
