You can, however, write cross-platform software so when John Doe comes and says, Greg, that program you wrote, can I use it on Linux too? Or better yet, you can say this program is cross platform and will run on Linux as well. It's a freely available operating system. Maybe after a while of development like that Linux would not be such a minority. Jeremy
