That's because it's not in Euphoria (yet)!
I think David meant to write "Euphoria _should_ allow a sort of dot notation..."
In the interim, if you don't mind the extra preprocessor step,
David's dot preprocessor is available from the RDS website (do a search for
"preprocessor") or directly from: http://members.aol.com/EnjoyCruz/pp.zip
