I've been trying to find out what the status Peuphoria is, but Pete seems to be on vacation. The latest version posted by Pete has lots of fixes and extentions by 'menno'. This is a good thing, but I have no clue who 'menno' is. He wrote a README file, but there's no e-mail address. The name doesn't show up on the Euphoria archives, and a Google web search yields nothing useful. Anyone have a clue here? Also, is anyone currently using/working on Peuphoria? From the look of the code, it seems to be compiling on the BeOS as well as DOS, Windows and Linux. Still no Mac binary, though. Thanks! -- David Cuny

He wrote a README I think I saw some messages from him on pete's message board. Maybe his e-mail address is there. Bernie

Hi David, I replied to your home email already, but here's another just so it doesn't seem to everyone like I'm ignoring you. :) >I've been trying to find out what the status Peuphoria is, but Pete seems to >be on vacation. The latest version posted by Pete has lots of fixes and >extentions by 'menno'. Gosh, I really wish I *was* on vacation. Things are still kinda busy getting settled into my new job and apartment, plus softball and social events... sheesh. Who knew that having a life would be so time-consuming! >This is a good thing, but I have no clue who 'menno' is. He wrote a README >file, but there's no e-mail address. The name doesn't show up on the >Euphoria archives, and a Google web search yields nothing useful. Menno is a really bright Dutch lad, who has been sending me his fixes for Peuphoria over the past several months. I haven't been able to keep up, so I just started posting his version on my site. Menno's email address is "M. Ter Haseborg" <menno at fwn.rug.nl> - I don't think he's on this mailing list though. >Anyone have a clue here? Nope! >Also, is anyone currently using/working on Peuphoria? From the look of the >code, it seems to be compiling on the BeOS as well as DOS, Windows and >Linux. Still no Mac binary, though. It sorta worked on BeOS, but I couldn't get the dynamic loader routines to work though.. :( I don't have access to a Mac anymore either. >Thanks! > >-- David Cuny Pete

There was mention the other day about an Open Source version of Euphoria, and Robert noted that Pete has an open source version that he's written. I just got a chance to play with the latest release. It's now to the point where it can run the EE editor without the mouse. Very impressive! -- David Cuny

I've been playing around with Pete's Peuphoria on Linux. I've got it = compiled OK, but when I run it, it gives me a segment fault in the = test() procedure. Anybody else get this? Michael J. Sabal mjs at osa.att.ne.jp http://home.att.ne.jp/gold/mjs/index.html
