1. Wisdom is a rare comodity but the folks at Euphoria obiviously

integer wisdom

Hi Folks

while wisdom do

I have nothing but praise for all the folks that have
made Euphoria what it is.

Im 56 years old. Ive been programming in quick basic for
many years. at least 40. Oops guess it hasnt been around that long yet.
I began wanting more from basic than it offered. So I attempted to learn
C++. After looking through a dozen manuals which made absolutly no sense.
I gave up.
I found assembly language was actually easier but to time consuming for
me.
SO for a couple years Ive done no programming. Then 4 weeks ago
I stumbled on this Euphoria thing. The advertisment couldnt be true.(I
thought)

I bit more speed, higher graphics resolution, insert wav files
in games, ETC.
I tried it and its true. The fun has come back to programming again.

Guess what, I printed out three or four help files,(not more than 40 or 50
pages.) I can actually undrstand all of it. WOW! (Its all in a note book for
easy referal.

So far Ive had 2 questions to ask in this forum and they have all
been answered within hours.

WHAT else could one ask of a language.
Oh by the way, where else can you make one array with text and numbers all
mixed into one. Always had wished I could do that for saving game scores
on my simple programs.
So I salute the folks who made Euphoria come to what it is.
That took MUCH WISDOM.

I reading a lot here about how to add and make it all better. Thats great
but in the process dont screw up whats working good up to now.

The great help files actually sold me on getting it.

I gave up on linux operating system.
I gave up on c++ because of poor help files.
I bought Euphoria partly because of great help files.

Since IM a registered Euphorian, I just wanted to put my two cents in. :)
Thanks
end while

 Later
    Gene
