NAY! sir... not could! will! will work!!! =] there are examples of clients and stuff, btw, in the archives... u could even mebbe set up a multi player system using EUServer or other such things (bah, not a shameless plug, honest) and have a client connect to the server and let bunches of people play together, all coded in EU, and could take full advantage of directX and everything... u can for sure do more with EU in these matters then java.... *ponders* i need to recode EUserver to work with linux mebbe??? isnt there a server....ya...for linux... there is one... serves web pages and the like, in the archives... so that gives u OS independence :) happy coding :) --Hawke' ____________NetZero Free Internet Access and Email_________ Download Now http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html Request a CDROM 1-800-333-3633 ___________________________________________________________

EUServer is fully win32 it creates a server on a winbox that allows u to chat with others... however... it is fully extensible to do things like create a MUD, an ftp server, an html server, a real audio server, a napster clone, or even a fully 3d massivly multiplayer RPG... that gives u windoZe... as far as linux? there are at least 2 servers already made by pete, and then u add the SGL library which is platform independent, so u can have graphics for win or linux... dig around in the archives... what u want has already been coded several times over :) and often, things that dont look like they have anything to do with your current project will have a code snippet or two contained within them that becomes priceless :) --Hawke' ----- Original Message ----- From: Alex Ford <FFUltimateMaster at CS.COM> To: <EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU> Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2000 3:35 PM Subject: Re: Sorry..
