In Outlook Express 5, if one is trying to set up rules to filter out (reject) certain individual's email, in the "select actions for your rule", what's the difference between (and the result of) "delete from server", and, "do not download from server"? And how do both of those relate to what seems to be a default applied in conjunction with them, "apply after message arrives"? And is applying "blocked sender" to a message another way to do the same thing, or is it different in some way? Dan Moyer

Downloading the email off the server does not delete it off the server, that's a different POP command, which OE hides from you. Most POPs have a fixed size allowed for your mailbox, and when it's filled, the box either refuses or drops the incoming email. For speed, and real virus protection, choose delete off server and do not download from server. > And is applying "blocked sender" to a message another way to do the same > thing, or is it different in some way? That one i don't know, since OE want to hide what it does from us anyhow. Kat
