I would need to know a few more things about your system and you knowledge of linux, etc to actually *answer* that question, like... do you have root access to this machine? do you know how to setup procceses with in your "init.d" file? (you need root for that) The fact of the matter is you can still *run* those servers without root priveleges, just not on their default/standard ports( http->80, ftp->21, pop->110, smtp->25 ).
