PS: Thank you for all the great suggestions for EU>free C compilers. I have already downloaded the Ancient Turbo C EU>version 2.01. I will probably take a look at some of the others EU>later. where did you get Turbo C v2.01 from , does this include a complete ansi implementation and what size is the file ; what O/S is required. You have to register to get the download, but it's not too intrusive. (1.1 megs) Turbo Pascal 5.5 (which is object oriented) is there also, still a very usable programming language IMHO. You can also download Borland C++ 5.5 free from http://www.borland.com/bcppbuilder/freecompiler/ it's a 32 bit ANSI compliant command line compiler. (lots of megs!) Regards, Irv

I seldom use this , mainly because of the size , and the stipulation that any software you develop with this is the property of borland ; unless you purchase the right to distribute your own code. This might be intended to protect some of the libraries , included , from borland. About 9Mbyte and doesn't run from the DOS command line , requires WIN 95 ; at least. EU>Regards, EU>Irv Net-Tamer V 1.11 - Test Drive

EU>Kat I'm talking about Borland C++ 5.5 , in this instance. As for Borland's , Turbo Pascal , v5,v6 and v7 ; I'm not familiar with these . I do comprehend Pascal ; however I'm revising ansi C at the moment , then ansi C++ , if that exists. Net-Tamer V 1.11 - Test Drive
