How can I get EE:CS to display long file names in the "open" dialog box? Or should it be doing this already? Thanks! ck

That's one of the few bits of Win95-Edit emulation I haven't had chance to add yet. :-S IIRC, there's quite a bit of code in EE hardwired to 8.3 filenames, such as the filename 'guessing' algorithms ('ee guppy' will check through all known extensions to find a match for guppy, starting with the Euphoria extensions: guppy.e, guppy.ex, etc.), and the wildcard matching handling. It's probably not too much work, since I got SPLIT working with long filenames quite quickly, but EE hasn't really been on my agenda since I got a job. I might have chance to grab a look over the coming weekend, since I've got a few more Euphoria ideas I want to try out. Sorry, Carl -- .sig-mund freud smoked .sig-ars
