1. Re: ERROR, PLEASE HELP!

Sorry, can't hold back any longer.

The problem is very simple - you do not understand the very basics of Euphoria.

There are 3 basic types of variable - an atom (floating point number), and
Integer (whole number) and a Sequence (an array of variables of any type,
including other sequences). There is a special type called Object which can take
the value of any of the others. The basic errors you are seeing are simply that
you are trying to assign sequences to numbers or numbers to sequences.

In your last code example you have tried to assign the VALUE (a number) to a
Sequence - and so cause an error "type_check failure".

de is an integer
tom2 is a sequence

tom2 = de is an invalid statement.

Try changing the type of tom2 to Object.

And, most definately, Read the Help files that come with Euphoria. Once you've
finished doing that, read them again.
