Do like Ada.
It uses "and then" and "or else"... No new keywords needed!
(I've been reading my Ada book again :) )

e.g.

if x != 0 and then log(x) < gamma and log(x) > delta then
    --whatever
end if

However, I do see difficulties in implementing this...
