I'm back everybody,
Looks like at least 2 people so far didn't catch me before I left 3
weeks ago (yeah I said it would be only 2; I forgot. I know you all
missed me ;) ) I'll send you my tank game tomorrow, Ferlin(I forgot my
disk today; I guess one more day won't make that much difference.) I've
done quite a bit to it since then: It now has 2 tanks and they both can
shoot. and change between 3 different weapons. The only trouble is that
if you actually hit the other tank, instead of exploding or losing life
points, it just gets mad and kicks you out of the game with an error
message. My main problem is that the coding is so unprofessional and
messy that I can't even figure out what's going on anymore. What I'm
doing now is rewriting the whole game with more features and a LOT less
subscripting (that was the main confusing factor). I'll still send you
Tank.ex because War.ex isn't even playable yet but it will be much
better when it is.
I need to learn how to do that particle stuff unless Brandon doesn't
want to share his stuff with anyone, I would understand. Also, Brandon,
I ,completely by accident, stumbled onto a way to get around the "45 deg
angle bug": I don't even use xvelocity and yvelocity, instead I use
direction (in degrees) and speed (in pixels per frame) unless I'm
terrible mistaken, my tank moves the same speed no matter which angle
it's facing. It also doesn't speed up and slow down (yet).

My snailing address is Rogersville. That's a small town East by
Southeast of Springfield MO. I live about 8 miles out of Springfield
city limits and less than that from Rogersville.
Well I'm sure that isn't all I have to say to everybody but I can't
think of any more right now. I have over 550 messages in my mailbox
(95% are from this list I'm sure) so I'm sure I'll find something to
comment on so if it's a little out of date, please bear with me.
