1. Peu, it stinks!

Peu is going to get laughs, and lots of one-word reviews.
Add to that the lawsuits we'll get from Disney when we try to use a cute
cuddly black and white striped kitty as a mascot.

I humbly suggest a word already known and respected by programmers worldwide::
One that neatly encapsulates the wonderful features of the language:

foo()

Yes; I hereby trademark foo(), - lowercase f, complete with parens - as
the name of the next new programming language.

foo() is believed to be derived from the 'foo' or faux, fighters which
aviators on nighttime missions often reported. Generally seen as glowing orbs
behind or alongside their planes, these 'foo fighters' were perhaps plasma or
'St. Elmo's fire' formed in the vortex from their wings. Some, however,
believed these truly Unidentified Flying Objects were piloted by aliens.

So we not only have a nice familiar name for the language, but we can have
a cute little green man in flying helmet and scarf as our mascot.

Irv

If you're referring to Pepe LePew, he's a property of Warner Brothers Stu=
dios,=20
not Disney.

OK, but being eaten by one shark is not significantly different from being
eaten by another.

Do you mean Denim website design software ( U.C. Berkeley ),
Denim Software LLC, Torrance, CA, makers of graphics editing software,
Novell's Directory-enabled Net Infrastructure Model (DENIM),
Denim Technologies (software development co)
or the one we are planning to write?

I think it would be well worth the risk of litigation
to call the language Pepe'

then it could be known as Pepe Le PEU I don't think
Warner Bros would touch it with a stick - for fear of
stirring up a stink.
