I was not downplaying win32lib. I chose that filename only because Derek is more acquainted with that file, because he wrote it. I have nothing but respect for Derek and his talents. It's just that Eu doesn't support the sort of thing a real Ai needs (knowing what it is one knows or doesn't know is rather important), and everything i have that is internet ready is for a windoze box, and i can't upload to a commercial professional linux box to run. So i offered money for a Eu app to mirror/proxy me off the nix box (which has a static ip on a dsl line, things i cannot get), and it looks like that was a dead end too at the moment. Someone told me yesterday afternoon they would be writing it in Perl, and tonite there is not one line of code written yet. Kat

If you mean like automatic saving of variables, being able to get up where the program last ran and crashed, etc, you are wrong. They help in debugging of AI programs (or any other program in general) but they are not necessary outside of debugging. (They may be convient, but they are not REQUIRED for AI.) Example: C has none of these things either. Yet look at how many AI programs and libraries which exist are in C. (Admititedly, C is NOT the best language for AI programming, but I'm just pointing out that its possible in C, and hence possible in Eu as well.) jbrown PS. In Dredge, print(fh, SSref) can be used to save all variables in a program automaticly. I never realized this before though. Wow. Linux User:190064 Linux Machine:84163 --
