1. Win32Lib next update, when? MCI wav recording

Hey with all this little bug fixes poping up for Win32Lib
maybe a update is in store? Last listed update was

"Last Changed on 3/01/2001 at 2:04:34 by Derek Parnell"

As a newbie to Euphoria I'm trying to write code and
the bugs bite I think it's me and I try work arounds.
Most of the time it is me though. :) I would like a
built in function in Win32Lib to RECORD WAVs. My next
project requires this, looks like I'll try the MCI stuff
first. I downloaded a MIDI program that uses MCI it didn't
run at first I had to FIX it to get it to play. Some changes
in Win32Lib broke it. Dword to DWord allocate_struct to allocate
and I think it was winMain(pram1) to winMain(pram1,pram2).
Has anyone used the MCI commands for wavs? I'm wondering
can I record a wav at the same time I play a wav? I just
planned on experimenting to see but if anyone knows?
I have one sound card in my system a Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold.
Maybe DIRECTX would be better but it's a big download for people
and I just need the sound stuff.

I'll upload my lastest first project in Euphoria when I feel it's
99.5% bug free, I think it's there already but I like to be sure.
It's just a music database, the real jewel in it is the AutoText
function for displaying and controlling text windows inside of windows.

Thanks,
Larry Mears

I was hoping no one would ask that.

I've been away from the beastie for a few months now, taking a rest from it.
I'm planning on taking some time off work next week to complete the new
release. Most of the coding has been done and I've got some more testing and
documentation to do. I'll be notifying the alpha testers to the next edition
of the library soon after that.

The new library makes it easier to create add-ins to it without breaking or
modifying existing code.

Good luck, but I firmly believe that the most effecient way to find and fix
bugs is to let other people inspect your code. Testing can only do a part of
the job.
