Is there a special switch the sender has to set to avoid this? Must I set a special switch? Any recommendations a appreciated. Thanks, Rolf

* UNFORTUNATELY * this is a sender setting, ( HTML ), and I imagine a lot of people don't know how to change it to plain text, even if they wanted to.

Thanks, Rolf Try using an email reader which only displays plain text and doesn't try t= o interpret the web browser codes. I am now using Pegasus, *without* the extra java/javascript/activex/etc stuff. It's all that stuff, plus VB, that lets= viruses such as ILOVEYOU virus run. Didn't someone write an email reader in Eu some time b= ack? If so, you could set it up to filter whatever you want removed from the email= , and then read it in a text viewer, web browser, or stuff it into the .eml files in your = Outlook Express dir. Kat
