Anybody ever have to pick some settings in isapnp.conf after running pnpdump>/etc/isapnp.conf? I have to and they're confusing me, with different levels like preferable, acceptable, and functional. I always get "cannot get 8 bytes ..." I doubt its my BIOS, from 1993, Phoenix v1.01.E. I have my onboard serial port disabled, so all settings should be free. PLEASE HELP ME! Mike Hurley PS. My machine is from Packard Bell, maybe that's why I'm screwed! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! Messenger. http://im.yahoo.com
