why is everyone judging me by the label that is put in front of me. If i were to attack any of these websites, or release a virus, I could of done it in another language. I'm willing to bet that if I were to ask this question but NOT say that I was a hacker, you would all gladly respond, but guess what? I didn't, and I won't. I believe in what I do and I take pride in it. as for questions on behalf of my christianity: Who are you to judge me? Also, i believe in no god, no heaven, and any other way you'd refer to it. And: to Michael Nelson: Is it my fault you bought winzip(ICQ/Need for speed 3/etc.)? No. Am I asking you to crack winzip(ICQ/Need for speed 3/etc.)? No. Ami I asking/implying anyone to do as I did? No. All text files there are for you to read and follow IF you wish. <<SARCASTIC>> Thanks for your help.. Other than Brian, no one else offered to help, and for that I am pleased because knowing you people, I would of probably just got spammed. -- Jok3r Get you free email at http://gha.zzn.com and visit us at http://gha.cjb.net ___________________________________________________________ Get your own Web-Based E-mail Service at http://www.zzn.com

I personally am sorry for the lack of response, mainly because everyone was either attacking you or defending you. As far as I know, the only way to delete multiple files at once in euphoria is to use shell("del whatever.*") or whatever suits. Maybe you're missing the point, the fact that YOU are a HACKER and the name HACKER usallay implies that HACKERS DO BAD THINGS whatever you do as a hacker is beyond me due to lack of information, wether it's cracking shareware/demo software to virus programming. if it's virus programming you're in,then YOU ARE THE SPAWN OF SATAN. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

NO! A cracker is someone who deliberately does damage to computers, a Hacker is someone who tries to breach the security of a system for the challenge of it, and is often a useful guide to plugging security holes, esp. when they are considerate enough to leave a message explaining the security problem. DONT get the two confused. Nick Johnson wrote: > > NO! He said he was a hacker in the "old" sense of the term, that he tried to reverse engineer file formats*. To the best of my knowledge, he's the only one who uses that definition (others would consider him a hacker anyway because of some of his reasonably impressive projects in VB and Java, including a complete IRC-like chat system in Java, but I'm getting off topic here.) IMHO, the term "Hacker" is so misused and vague that it no longer holds any reasonable definition. I've heard at least 5 definitions so far, and they're all slightly different. The term "Cracker", however, is much more specific, and leaves very little to the imagination. *How anyone could consider this "hacking" is beyond me. It's impressive, but it's not hacking under any other definition I've heard of. -- "I'm looking for something in Red. Something that's shocking, to turn someone's head. To me, a "Cracker" is a piece of toasted bread, with cheese, or fish meat, or paté. Especially nice at small parties and receptions, with a drink, but nothing to get mad about. kwibus ----- Oorspronkelijk bericht ----- Van: RedWordSmith <redwordsmith at NIC.DREAMHOST.COM> Aan: <EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU> Verzonden: dinsdag 7 maart 2000 21:42 Onderwerp: Re: the jok3r... > The term "Cracker", however, is > much more specific, and leaves very little to the imagination.

Thus spake Ian Smith on Tue, 7 Mar 2000: >then YOU ARE THE SPAWN OF SATAN. And Jesus died for him. And this is the Euphoria list, unless I'm grossly mistaken. C'mon, Ian, if you've got a problem with this guy write him personally but keep us out of it, okay? Zaph.
