I am directly addressing this to you but posting it to the list so everyone
knows where I stand. Unlike Mr. Williams, I do not want you to "Go Away"--I
believe that this list is for everyone with an interest in Euphoria who is
capable of being civil to others and you fit this definition.
Please do not take this as approval or yourself or of GHA--I have examined
their website and you own and find their contents contemptible. You know
better than I what all of it is about, but I would particularly point out
your instructions on cracking WinZip. Quite bluntly, you are not content
merely to steal but also teach others how!
I paid for my copy of WinZip at a time when I was making $8 an hour and had
to sacrifice some other things to raise the $40--I did it because it is the
honest thing to do and my opinion of whether the author of WinZip should
give it away or sell it for less is irrelevant.
To the best of my knowledge, "Thou shalt not steal" has not been removed
from the Ten Commandments. And if the Judeo-Christian tradition does not
speak to you, every other tradition I have ever heard of also prohibits
theft. How could a civilized society exist if everyone just took what they
wanted without regard to the rights of others?
