Thanks for the replies - still looking for euphoria 1.3 (I don't think it'll work either). Linux is a good idea (I'm using the laptop to connect via the phone to a Linux box), but I haven't found a program as good as dos kermit yet to communicate (I know there's a linux kermit, just haven't tried it yet), and the laptop has a 510Mb (thats Mb) hard drive, and no cd rom. Current solution - a new laptop has been bought (a pentium 75!) running win95 - this multitasks quite nicely for its needs. Thanks again, Chris.
