It doesn't support unicode, or any bytes(/chars) >#7F. You are trying to post a #EA, probably this but it could be a completely different codepage.

Your response is a far better error msg than what OE gave when it crashed. And correct, as i showed in the thread i was posting to when it crashed. Back in the win95 daze, i wrote a filter so Eu didn't crash if it tried to make a file named with such "illegal" characters.

Fixed that for you. Agreed, though.

Well, yeah. I fixed the sentence, not the issue from MySQL. That will have to wait on Greg (unless someone else has volunteered and gotten access to the underlying system already?)
