Hello again, I've tried changing the DEP settings on my comp and it didnt help catch the partially unallocated struct maybe because "Hardware DEP" is not supported on my processor, while the other machine that crashed might actually have this (i'll have to check later). Anyway, i did try "Safe.e" and unfortunately that failed to work with code that had been running for many years now. It told me there was a bad 'poke' when really there wasnt. This error stemmed from an "allocate_string()" command where an object was passed like this: atom addr if sequence(caption) then addr=allocate_string(caption) end if That's pretty strange I'll have to look at this more a little bit later or tomorrow. If i can get Safe.e past that string allocation then maybe i'll get useable error results with the part unallocated struct. Take care, Al And, good luck with your Euphoria programming!
