Also at http://members.aol.com/FilesEu/othersit
one can't connect through to any of the member sites ; what's the story ?

I've never heard of this one....

http://members.aol.com/FilesEu/
may not be available through a www connection , I use an FTP.
as for http://www.RapidEuphoria.com
this seems to be missing , instead I find myself at a webpage of a
server where a list to netserver , or something exists ; where
RapidEuphoria might be.
Lowercase seems to produce the same result.
Is this my software ?
I get a bit further occassionally ; however the links to the users/
developers websites are inactive from either of these sites.
Curious.

6. Re: RapidEuphoria
Are you having problems with your ISP. I get problems like this sometimes
but it happens with all sites just not one inparticular. See if it happens
with a site that you have not been to before. A lot of sites are stored on
your computer. And aren't actually downloaded when you go to them. Have you
called your ISP provider to see if they are having a problem somewhere.
It is frustrating sometimes. But I seem to have no problems with any of the
links that you are giving. What Browser are you using? Enternet Expoler X.X,
Netscape, or something else. If nothing else works clear your history and
cookies. I hope this helps. I know how frustrating these things can be.
Good Luck

7. Re: RapidEuphoria
To determine whether its your ISP,
go to dos prompt and type
tracert www.rapideuphoria.com
If the trace completes and the last stop is rapideuphoria.com, and it isn't
your ISP.
Otherwise, find the last place where a connection was made. The server after
that is the problem server. If it ends in the domain of your ISP, then its
your ISP's problem.

Yeah that's what I said :) Just more technical here.
I will try that the next time I am having a problem. Good Info.

I got the first one, didn't try the 2nd one, prolly depends on your browser
for the case of the letters.

index.shtml and Index.shtml are 2 completely different FILE names.

...just guessing here, but rapideuphoria.com is probably a redirected site
with a much longer 'real' site name, and Net-Tamer probably can't handle the
redirection. This seems to also be the case with Bobcat, and other simple DOS
browsers.

13. Re: RapidEuphoria
I had the same or similar problem with my webclient.exu program and
www.rapideuphoria.com. I suspect that rapideuphoria.com is a virtual domain
name
hosted by another server. I kept getting a isp site page until I added a "Host:
www.rapideuphoria.com" line to the http request header and then it returned the
expected page. I don't know how this would help with Net-Tamer, unless you
could ask
them to add the Host: line to their software.

These work too:

Try these in IE (they prolly won't work right in other browsers):

I can enter Long site names and re-directions into Net_Tamer , manually
if necessary; however as you say the re-direction might be too long.
Surely there's a way around this as this could , potentially , be a
concern for most anyone who does an extended browse.
Am I missing some important re-direction with
http://www/RapidEuphoria.com ; perhaps /rapideuphoria/ ?
The other net browser I use is Cello , this connects to the Netcenter,
however my version of this is running from windows 3.10.
Only recently have I been investigating the possibility of upgrading to
windows 95 , this might be available from some website ; possibly The
Netcentre or microshoft. In the meanwhile Linux has arrived on the scene,
I dare say there are going to be powerful browsers written for that , quite
soon. Especially when you consider that mobile webBrowser software might be
written using this; and of course Linux is free.

That's a bit informative , I wonder if a message from Robert Craig

not.

The situation appears to be a bit more complicated than case
sensitivity , there may be a difficulty with my browser[s] handling
extended re-direction.

It worked for me. I think this proves that it

Yes the type of browser is the issue , even with different
ways to connect , ftp for instance ; eventually one faces certain
limitations. Though I can still see a few ways to ,indirectly,
get around these.
