Forking from http://openeuphoria.org/forum/126863.wc?last_id=126893 aka v4.0.5 64bit Linux?
Due to crossthreading the topic is hard to follow.
I just tried to install Slax 7 to a USB, but it looks like my download got corrupted.
I did have Slax+oE working in the past. My only complaint was that KDE4 was sluggish on my netbook; for this reason I looked to Porteus Linux. Porteus is very similar to Slax.
How about trying Porteus? The download is flexible and their deb conversion utility worked well. If you have the time please try Porteus and compare it to Slax. My idea is to promote Porteus with pre-installed Euphoria to make trying Euphoria as easy as possible.

Thanks. I'll give it a go.

Downloaded Porteus. Had to download the compat32 modules to be able to run OE (and presumably all 32-bit applications).
Seems to work quite nicely. Runs faster than my install of Slax, but then I do have copy2ram set up.
Thanks for the suggestion.
