BASIC is good for a newbie, but if you want to do more complicated things later forget it. I think Euphoria is a great language for beginners and flexible enough to be used for advanced programs as well. As for the others... I don't know. I tried Qbasic... Yuk. I tried VB... a bit better, but... I tried Euphoria... That's more like it! A perfect combination of ease of use and ultimate flexability and speed. -- Original Message -- >From: Sperry Russ <slruss at STRATO.NET> >Reply-To: Euphoria Programming for MS-DOS <EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU> >To: EUPHORIA at LISTSERV.MUOHIO.EDU >Subject: What Is Language Best For Newbie >Date: Sat, 16 Dec 2000 22:55:10 -0500 > >Hi, > >The below message is a message that I posted to the newsgroup >comp.lang.basic.misc > >I was surprised how many people answered it to tell which basic language >they thought was good for a newbie.
