1. New version of EDS and real-life use of EDS

Hi

sometime ago I read somewhere that a new version of EDS (Euphoria's Database System) is in the works. I am wondering, what will its new features be? And when is it expected to be ready?

Also, I have noticed that many/most Euphoria users use other database systems (MySQL, etc) instead of EDS, as I see them being mentioned much more often than EDS. I am curious, are there users who actually use EDS for their day-to-day tasks?

Thanks

I wrote an backup system, which runs on my system everyday, that uses EDS. It's been running for over a year now without a single issue.

What about the new features and the expected release date, Derek? Weren't you supposed to be the guy who is working on it?

That's what I trying to find out. I was under the impression that there would be some new features, but maybe I'm wrong. In a post, it was mentioned that Derek was working on EDS, IIRC in order to introduce some of the ACID features for the sake of reliability.

I remember Derek saying that he was doing so here: http://openeuphoria.org/forum/m/122737.wc

But then he said he had finished: http://openeuphoria.org/forum/m/123125.wc

And his code is available here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/100730175/ids.e
