1. is list server messed up?

First, the list gets a message from the list server(?) that is normally the
message that a person would get when they sent a message *to* the list and
have it set up to send back an acknowledgment that their message has been
received and distributed to the list members (presumably from "Zaphod
Beeblebrox" );

then, we get what looks like a carbon copy of a list digest, apparently sent
by Zaphod, maybe to some bunch of people, but with the Euphoria list
included in that bunch, (which was probably what generated the message from
the list server?);

then Kat wonders what's happening;

then the list server(?) sends the list what it normally sends to an
individual attempting to join the list;

then Matthias Kaiser apparently responds to the instructions in the that
"how to join" info, by replying "ok", but it gets distributed to the list
instead of going to the list server;

then Kat says Huh to that;

and now Dan says "What's going on anyway? Is the list server messed up?"

2. Re: is list server messed up?

Well, obviously, due to the lower amount of traffic on the list, the listserver
has
developed a Serius Cybernetics Corp. "Genuine People Personality"(tm) and has
taken to
sending messages to itself in order to keep itself happy.

3. Re: is list server messed up?

Apparently, the web interface isn't smart enough to exclude itself from
subscription. I sent the last two messages to the list, *as* the list.
The last message I sent should have unsubscribed the list from itself. If
somebody knows how to report this bug, please do so.

4. Re: is list server messed up?

Brian,

Ok, I sent a message to John alerting him to what's happening, hope that's
ok.
