1. maybe_any_key()

This is a strangely named function. Wouldn't "gui_any_key()" be more descriptive?

The documentation examples for this function show "any_key()" being used.

Only the programmer needs to know the meaning of any_key()
The user does not need to be told "Press any key"
He/she could be told "Press a key"
At least the 'A' key does exists.
