1. GWD Editor
Hi, all,
Several nights ago I warned you about GWD Text Editor for Euphoria.
Now I think it's only fair to tell you it was obviously an honest mistake,
and to his credit Vedran Gaco moved very quickly to rectify it.
I played a bit with the editor last night, and I must say I was quite
impressed. It is very flexible with a macro language of its own, it
has a lot of features not readily found in other text editors, column
blocks, spelling checkers for a number of tongues, bookmarks, etc,
plus some more I do not care so much about, like stupid wizards.
The editor has one or two rough edges, unnecessary spelling
mistakes and rather skimpy, unhelpful help files, but overall with
syntax coloring and a sort of project management, it may be quite
attractive for some Euphorians, especially when coupled with Adam's
references.
Would I buy it? Well, I happily paid $9.95 for my copy of NoteTab
recently, very similar, mature product. At $29, depending on your
currency, GWD Editor is two or three cans of good tennis balls, or a
large bottle of brandy more expensive. jiri
