Hello everybody,
In Windows 7 you can not associate a file extension with a program unless the program is in the 'open with' window.
To be there it has to be in the registry.
How can I install a third party .exe file (one that has no installation file) into the registry.
Euphoria did it when I installed Euphoria. Euphoria is one of those .exe files I can associate with in Windows 7.

Take a peek at the euphoria.iss file, which is the installer source file for Euphoria. Look around line 178 to see various registry keys.
