I don't sit often in front of my PC these days anyway, because the
weather is great, and there are so many open-air cultural events here.
E.g. yesterday evening, there was a performance of a Shakespeare's play
on a ship. Very nice!

Just a little note in addition to Elliot's reply:
Maybe you'd like to include your own custom routines for initialization
and cleaup in the DLL -- say my_dll_init() and my_dll_cleanup().
