Just to prove how bad my need to reinvent the wheel has got, I've realised a big ambition to write my very own QBasic-like play() routine. :) It's only fair that I say that J. Craig Gilbert's routine has been available from the Euphoria archive for *ages*. Mine's a 6k download from link 5 on the Recommended Packages list on my Euphoria page. (/takes deep breath after that sentence) Math freaks (like me) might like to see how I generate the frequency table, 'cause there ain't a hand-typed table in sight... The 4 demos are good, IMHO, since I inputted two of them from sheet music. The help file's good too :) Carl -- Carl R White -- Final Year Computer Science at the University of Bradford E-mail........: cyrek- at -bigfoot.com -- Remove hyphens. I have a frequency table from a B.A.S.I.C book available. I guess I could type it up if I manage to find the book. Lucius L.
