I would expect that Euphoria would have a complete math library, either built-in, or available through an include file supplied by Robert. A library of common, useful stuff is also a good idea, although Robert has mentioned that finding out what goes in such a list can be a bit difficult. The inclusion if equal() is a good example. The name conflicts have caused me a lot of grief. One of the reasons I'm using an OOP system in Llama is to get around name conflicts. I know that Robert is working on the problem, so I'm taking a "wait and see" approach here. On the other hand, I think that 'open market' scheme used for developing libraries works out fairly well. People post what they think will be useful, and if something is missing, someone either asks the author to add a feature, or they create their own library. Sure, there's a lot of duplication. But I think competition is a good sort of thing. For example, CS:EE builds on EE and adds features that EE lacks. -- David Cuny
