I have recently changed my security software.
The new software reports p.exe in eins.zip as an intruder and has quarantined it.
What is p.exe supposed to do?

It is Phix, as linked to on the main Edita page.
If you have not noticed anything amiss, you can delete it. I use a variety of online services to check for viruses, an example report can be seen here. I think you'll agree that with 39 out of 42 passing it as clean, the 3 that imagined some infection (different for each) which none of the others detected must be "false positives".

Thanks. I have compiled and run Edita without it, so I am pretty sure that I don't need it.
