1. Mailing list suggestion

I have just created a Euphoria forum at onelist.com. Anyone who is
unfamiliar with Onelist should consider the following list of advantages of
using Onelist. The list is called 0euphoria. It's in the
computers:programming category. Lists are sorted by alphabetical order in
each category, the '0' will make sure anyone who searches for programming
lists will see this one. Also, all messages are archived and anyone who is
curious about Euphoria can read them.
Once you have joined, to send a message to the list, send it to
-euphoria at onelist.com.

***Advantages***
1. Having it at Onelist could increase exposure to Euphoria
2. Easier to type... @onelist.com to @listserv.muohio.edu
3. Onelist has a shared file area and a bookmarks page for each list
4. Each message subject is tagged with the list name. If this message were
sent through the mailing list the subject would read "{euphoria} Mailing
list suggestion"
5. That confirmation message doesn't appear

Yes, Onelist is free. The url is www.onelist.com. Membership requires
giving them a password and your email address, and you're all set to join any
list on the server (thousands). Having a euphoria list representing us will
proabably get new members. Anytime someone searches for programming lists,
euphoria will be near the top.
Finally, either join it or not join it... let's not make this into a huge
debate. I'm not trying to do away with this listserv, I'm just trying to
enjoy the features of Onelist... and give Euphoria a little exposure.

2. Re: Mailing list suggestion

Then wouldn't we have to check 2 lists to keep up with everything.

Also the list says :
"Digest messages are generated every night and are a compilation of all
messages sent during the previous day."

This list is updated when any message is sent to it.

Make that 3: there's also news:alt.lang.euphoria, which is seldom
visited even by spammers.

First of all you don't have to check two lists... if you join both they're
coming to you via email, so what's the difference? You still have one email
inbox right? Plus, you don't have to subscribe in digest mode...with regular
mode you'll get messages in your inbox right when they're sent.

5. Re: Mailing list suggestion

WRONG
I don't let list servers send me email. I read the messages off the list
server. Why fill up good disk space with email ??
I let email fill up the list server.

It certainly does toward the end of each month, when the list
is a 100K+ download every time you peek
at it.

With One list you CAN read the messages off the server.
